Penny wants to get her friends, Angie and Jen, to like each other. But the problem they had in the third grade keeps them apart. They just barely speak to each other and then only to argue, putting Penny in the middle. She is really distressed by their fights but she is determined to patch things up against the advice of both her brother and her mom. Then Penny gets a real surprise when her dad mentions that his boss, the company owner, is donating some money and a vacant lot next to their office to create a park and playground for the neighborhood and, especially, for the hospital which shares the block with the office building.
